An article in Malaysia's Eastern Times summarizes the background, advantages, disadvantages, potential side effects of cryosurgery, as well as the state of the art. While cryosurgery is an option for some types of cancers and some locations, it may not work well for those cancers that exist in or on the lining of certain organs (i.e. bladder, colon). In the journey to inform families that there is hope beyond chemotherapy and radiation, ambassadors of Fuda hospital held a free meeting at the Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kuching. The meeting highlighted which therapies Fuda can do, which cancers they can help, as well as which cancers they cannot help. During the meeting, the physicians also held free consultations for patients and families with cancer.

During his visit to Malaysia, Fuda~s president Dr. Kecheng Xu met with Malaysia~s health minister to discuss the state of cancer therapy in the country. Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh acknowledged that the facilities in Malaysia still need upgrading if Malaysia plans to take care of its citizens with cancer. The minister also invited three other cancer experts from around the country to meet with Dr. Xu.
